We host many school field trips throughout the year, and even in the summer. Since HappyLand is meant for the preschoolers, lots of preschools take a trip to see us! We are able to open the facility early for large groups, and teachers love this opportunity. The children can enjoy their peers outside the school setting, which many educators find very important for adapting to different environments. The children are told the basic expectations upon entering the facility, and the group is managed by our staff as well as the teachers that stay to supervise.
Our school field trips consist of preschools in McKinney and the surrounding cities, Mothers' Day Out programs, daycares and even home schoolers! Children use their imaginations through the ever-so-important creative play, and the "Learning Center" wall that was added in July, 2004 helps teach textures and colors. We also have a growth chart in the "Learning Center" where children can chart their height! We know that an important part of play is the clean up process, so upon departure we have the kids do a "five minute tidy" then they leave with a sucker attached to a coupon for their next visit!
